Runescape Things to Do While You’re Bored

As you all know you can get really fast bored in Runescape while you’re training skills or combat. There are actually lots of things to do while you’re bored in Runescape, but you might not know all of them.

Things to do.

  • If you’re really bored but still don’t want to log out from Runescape account then you should play mini-games.

Mini-games are fun, and can still get you some xp. When you’re training strength for example, and you’re bored, then go to soul wars. Soul wars is great way to earn xp and you don’t get even bored.

  • Dungeoneering

Dungeoneering is latest skill launched by Jagex. You can explore dungeons with you’re friends or by yourself. There are always new challenges waiting for you. You should really try it and it doesn’t cost you anything, and you still earn xp.- Slaying

You still want to earn combat levels but you are really bored? Then start training Slayer. Slayer is fun and you don’t even get bored because you always get new tasks. Slayer is good skill because it will make you a lot money and you still get combat xp.- Skilling = boring?

Skilling can be actually really boring, I admit it. Fishing is really slow and you will get bored a lot BUT while fishing you can do lots of things what will keep you entertained. For example you can do you’re homework (boring) while fishing or you could just watch TV or play with xbox .- Duelling

You can always go to duel arena and fight players, you still earn xp and you don’t lose any money unless you want to stake.- Go outside?

There is always an option to go outside. While you’re really bored go hang out with you’re friends and go to beach for example.

There are still lots of things to do so I’m going to list them all here:
1) Play Castle wars.
2) Play Clan wars.
3) Just chill at G.E :d
4)Merch, it will give you lots of free time
5)Talk in clan chat
6) Explore new areas
7)Go PK (its always fun but you can lose a lot there)
8)Read my articles 🙂

Thanks for reading 🙂

Runescape: The Fastest Way to Getting Rich

So you are either new to RuneScape or you have been a member of it for some time and you are looking for ways to make fast money. Well, with all the new updates, being a merchant is almost a no-go, except for one time of year.

Every summer, when kids are out of school, the prices, even with the new general exchange, sky rocket. Before this new trade limit went info effect, you could buy something for a million from someone and sell it to another for one and a half million. That may be a bit of a stretch, but it has happened. Now, with the general exchange, prices aren’t as easy to manipulate. But obviously it can still be done. This may not make you fast cash now, but the math will prove that if you save your money from now until just before next summer, you can triple or quadruple any money you make in the next nine months.

What should you do to make money until then? Well most people forget that the point of the game is not to be as rich as possible, but to get all your skills to level 99. The easiest money skills that take some time are wood cutting and fishing. These, as boring as they can be, are not only the most boring, but the easiest way to make free money. Are you in school right now? Do you get a lot of homework from your teachers? Why not do your homework while you cut trees or fish? This is the easiest way to pass the time and level up. With the new update that allows more time before you get logged out, you can now spend more time on your homework while you listen for the tree to fall or the fishing noise to stop. With swordfish so high or even monk fish if you finished the quest to get to them, runeguide, you can make easy money while you do your homework.

I myself have been more of the money player and not the skill player. I started by buying rare items when the prices were just starting to creep up and believe it or not, a mask set was maybe $13Mil. Then, about a year or two later, a mask set was going for nothing less then $90Mil. That is where I got my money from. But in the mean time there were some jumps, even as of recently, that I could have turned my $112Million into much more. At one point I had 16 pumpkins that I paid $5Million each for. They went up to $16Million during a point that I had quit playing due to school. But I was greedy and even at $12Million each I did not sell. Bad move. But I always knew that Easter Eggs and pumpkins would one day get up high again. They did, but not when I expected it. I sold my 16 Easter Eggs around Easter of 2009 for just over $5Million each. Once summer and all the kids came back around, Easter Eggs hit a year high of just under $15Million. Just do the math for your self to see the kind of money you can make. Now you may not be the player that is involved in the rare items, so I have plenty of other items that can give you as much, if not more, profit once next summer comes.

Every summer for the past two or three summers, prices get messed up. So why not buy everything you need before then. I would wait until January to March to get all the items you want to buy before the prices start to get jacked. But what is good to buy to make that profit? There are a few choices that I prefer to put all my money on and so far, it has worked. Not only have I made myself over $112Million, $150Million before the crash of the party hats, I have also made a very close friend of mine over $100Million this way too. If you were able to combine the two accounts, it would be well over $250Million using this price jacking to my advantage.

The few items that I prefer to put all my money on are Pure Ess, Dragon Bones, Ranarr Seeds, and Ranarr Weeds. Just before summer, Pure Ess was trading for barely 110 to 121 each. By mid summer the prices hit almost 190 each. If you buy only 100,000 of them, you can turn $11Million into $19Million in the matter of months. I bought over 600,000 and did this to make my profits even more. Dragon bones are a no brainer when it comes to the price jack. Everyone knows that dragon bones are the best experience for prayer and the fastest way to get 99. Just before the summer started, dragon bones were trading for 1.8K. But the middle of the summer, dragon bones hit over 3.3K. If you have 30Mil to 60Mil from your woodcutting and fishing before summer starts, you can buy 20K to 30K of dragon bones. You can turn that 30Mil to 60Mil into 55Mil to 109Mil which is almost doubling your money. You need good money in order to turn it into better money. Of course if you already have the 100Million plus, why not buy more then I suggest. My only other suggestion is to buy Ranarr seeds and weeds or even prayer potions. These prices get ridiculously out of control come summer time. The price of seeds almost doubles and the price of the potions stays in proportion with the price of the weeds. But why not buy the seeds and either wait for the sky rocketing price or just plant them your self and turn the profits even higher. Not to mention that this is another great idea while you do your homework. Every hour and ten minutes that goes buy, you can go pick your herbs and turn the profits of your seeds even greater come summer time.

So this is my guide to making quick money. It may not be today or tomorrow, but it is the smartest way to maximize your profits each summer that you play.

“WoW: Cataclysm” First Impressions: Kezan – for Goblin Lovers Only

If you never thought that ” Grand Theft Auto” and ” World of Warcraft” could cross, you’ve never played through the Goblin starting area. Designed to introduce players to the cutthroat, conniving ways of the Goblin race, Kezan offers an interesting twist to the classic starting zone experience. Though not a fan of Goblins myself, I took a quick peek at the starting area to see just what it had to offer.

After creating a character and watching the introduction, I couldn’t help but wonder how the “mechanical paradise” of Kezan – a place ruled by Trade Princes – looked like it belonged in a seedy district of Las Vegas. The place was dark and sludgy, but neon lights, AstroTurf-looking grass, and plastic flamingos were everywhere. The place is also crossed over by one-lane roads designed for the wealthy elite.

As it turns out, that wealthy elite is me!

Goblin characters start out as recently promoted bosses, second-in-command to only the Trade Prince. They even get a boyfriend or girlfriend, depending on their gender. Everyone seems to praise me as I go along, saying they’re sure that I’ll become the next Trade Princess. As it turns out, not only do I have assistants, employees, and a boyfriend; I also have friends, a popular following, and yes, even a hot rod.

Although the hot rod serves mainly as transportation around town, and a way to build the storyline, it’s a unique addition – it has its own radio, horn, and speed boost. With the hilly, loopy tracks in Kezan, and the way citizens scream and jump out of the way in terror (or get run over), zipping around the city feels like playing ” Grand Theft Auto” in ” World of Warcraft .” The ” GTA “-theme doesn’t stop with the hot rod – I find myself throwing extravagant parties, breaking into the bank, and even setting my own place on fire to claim the insurance money.

So what happens when Deathwing shows up and makes the volcano on your island prepare to explode, and the Trade Prince is bullying his way around town? Why, you get to liberating property of course. Even Vinny Slapchop is using his entrepreneurial skills to sell, among other things, the Slap Rock.

In the end, your goblin fate is met with betrayal, slavery, and nearly drowning to death at the hands of the Alliance. It’s unique but didn’t leave me any more attracted to goblins as a race than I was before. It also seemed to be one of the slowest leveling areas, taking me an hour to complete for only five levels worth of experience. While it’s worth trying once, only Goblin lovers will truly appreciate its madness.

World of Warcraft – A Parent’s Perspective

First of all, what IS an MMORPG? This is an acroynym for Massive Mulit-player Online Role Playing Game, and this dffers from a regular PC game in that there is constant interaction with other players. I have been playing this game for over five years now, and as such I can speak from personal experience about the ups and downs of such a game.

World of Warcraft is a virtual world, complete with an economy, social interactions, rivalries and career choices. It is VERY easy to lose oneself in this world, so its best to know a few things before one begins. One of the first issues that a lot of younger players experience is the economy of the world. EVERYTHING in the game, from armor, to food, to spells, potions, mounts, etc must be purchased with in-game currency or Honor Points. There are only two legal ways to obtain gold in the game: earn it or ask other players for it. I say legal, for there is a third way, which will get your account shut down by Blizzard, and that is to buy gold from one of the various companies that actually sell gold to players for real currency. This is a violation of Blizzard’s Terms of Service, and should always be avoided. The ways to earn currency in the game are to do so through a Profession, complete Quests, or sell items to a vendor or on the Auction House, which functions like eBay. This is an initial source of frustration for newer players, for there are no cheats that will allow a player to “magically” increase one’s in-game currency. Asking other players for gold is usually seen as begging, and of course is a sure way to develop bad feelings with other players.

Another aspect of the game, (and this is a caution to parents) due to there being players of all ages online, there are sometimes inappropriate comments made in-game, such as sexual references. Fortunately, the game features an Ignore option, by which a player who makes a habit of such can have his or her comments blocked from being seen by the individual player. Also, Blizzard does an excellent job of policing the game, by having Game Masters online 24/7. These Game Masters, or GMs, are there to spot inappropriate behavior, help out with difficult questions and can offer advice. The downside to this is because of the sheer number of players online in any given time, it may take days for a GM to respond. However they WILL respond, and if the complaint is serious enough the offending player can and will be banned for a few days, or have his or her account revoked. This means that such a player would have to start fresh with a new account and payment option, a very real threat which is quite effective. The game is designed to take quite a bit of time to reach certain levels and aquire certain items; if one’s account is revoked they lose all characters and in-game gold and items, so all that time and effort is wasted, never to return.

One of the main keys to this game is PATIENCE. Your child is NOT going to go from level 1 to level 80 (the current top level) in a day or a week. Dedicated players can do so inside of a few weeks, but this is a serious chunk of time spent, and is not a good idea, especially if the player is still in school. And it is not simply a matter of going from one level to the next; there are goals to be reached, depending upon one’s style of play. My personal favorite is Player versus Player, or PvP. This is basically attacking players from the other Faction, of which there are two: the Horde, and the Alliance. For this style of play, one needs certain armor, spells and talents that are suited to such, vice Player versus Environment, or PvE, and it takes awhile to get these items. Also, this differs from regular battle in that with PvE, you are mostly attacking Non Player Characters, or NPCs. These are governed by the game’s artificial intelligence, and are fairly easy depending upon the NPCs level compared to the player’s.

PvP can be much more challenging because you are squaring off with another player, who can and does react faster and in a more unexpected fashion than an NPC. Again, the key word here is patience; it takes some time to be effective in PvP play, for it is not only a matter of having the proper items it is also a matter of one’s individual skill.

As a parent and a dedicated player I recognize that this game does indeed teach lessons that can be applied to real life, as unbelievable as that sounds. Just like playing a real sport, one must learn to be effective as a team in order to be effective in battlegrounds, Instances and Raids. Battlegrounds are basically areas where the two Factions battle each other for control of the area, and can have 15 players for each side ( or 40 as in the case of the Wintergrasp battleground). Teamwork is VITAL in these areas, as is leadership. I have seen players quit the Battlegrounds after only a few minutes, because it did not look like an easy victory. This is a problem because those Battlegrounds yield Honor Points, which are used to purchase certain items that enhance the individual character. If one quits too soon and too often he or she robs themself of the opportunity, as well as causing their own and other players’ frustration. This is therefore not only a matter of patience, it is also one of maturity. One is NOT going to win every time, but the ones that do so consistently are the ones that learn from their mistakes and fight harder and SMARTER the next time.

I have briefly touched on some of the more important aspects, but it is also important to remember that this is a GAME, something to be played and enjoyed, not on a par with family or responsibilities. To this end Blizzard has Parental Controls, through which you can decide when and how long your child can play. So, if you are considering this game, by all means do so; just monitor their involvement as you would any other online activity.
